So, I bet you're sick of my blogging about random music, music you haven't heard of, or whatevs. Butttt, people, I know what I know. And today what I know is.... that Japanese Motors are all of a sudden in fast forward. I swear, even if they were no body's when I first heard of them, and you still think that they are still nothing to brag home about then, ok, do what you will. I will have you know this, the last time I told you about some one, or some people, or music, or, who cares, I just know that I threw up a post about Shwayze reality show in like December and now it's just starting to air and everyone is now knowing who he is when I was telling you how cool he was back in the da diz day. Along with you know, that girl who kissed a girl, and liked it, and Whoopi Goldberg kissed her to. (hahaha, YouTube it, it was from the morning talk show, "the view") ...Katy Perry.

So.... Japanese Motors, I'm telling you, Huge!! I hope, because the last half of what you just read you already knew, and I was just using what I wrote as proof I know what I know.

Here are just a few things that make me know that the Japanese Motors are doin things, doin work, and being most righteous bros... siiiiiick.!!

5. Big fan of garage sales, estate sale, the rose bowl, fairfaaxxx flea market and Thrift stores...It's like treasure hunting... Her dad to this day will still wake her up @ 7am to go to garage sales when she is back home.
6. Loves anything Japanese... like going down to Sawtelle and looking at all the Japanese-y stuff.
7. Plays both electric and acoustic guitars... but doesn't wanna come off a snob about it...
8. She LOVES rollerskating, MINATURE GOLF and ice skating
9. Used to take swing dancing for three years in SB that's where she got a lot of her 1940's style education.

WARPED TOUR:

First off... Why Ee Es. YES. Warped tour was dope. First things first.

The first band that I watched by choice would be The Color Fred. Man that dude is old, but none the less... Next was none other than Shwayze.. Awesome performance and everything about it was just as good as you could ask for. After the Shwayze set I went on over to his booth to get some pics and get the signing stuff done with. Man Cisco is such a radical dood. I never thought that I would get to meet him, shwayze or skeet, but guess what people, I did.





After all that I checked out Cobra Starship, That set was just as good as the last time I saw them, wait actually it was better, A) because Metro Station wasn't there, and B) cause We The Kings weren't either... And there was a ton more people... And what made me even more stoked, the one song they have ft. Travy from Gym Class Heroes and William Beckett from The Academy Is; Bring It/Snakes on a Plane was epic. Both of them joined Cobra Starship and made the performance that much better.

During the last song of Cobra Starship, I headed over the the Skull Candy tent to watch the acoustic set of Shwayze, that was rad and Cisco called me out in between songs saying I looked like I was from Dogtown and I was Tony Alva's sisters friend... whatevs, compliment none the less. When the set was over I hung out and talked with them some more and got to talk one on one with Cisco and Skeet. Skeet ended up hooking me up with a pair of Shwayze/Skull Candy headphones and Cisco gave me his Banana Beats pick. I almost got the blue and white RVCA hat from Shwayze but no bueno on that one becky.



When all the fun from that died out I checked out KATY PERRY. She is so fine. Her music live is a lot more hard core than I thought it would be, which made things even better. She is pretty sassy on stage and said it how it was. I liked that. During the middle of her set Cisco and Shwayze came out to perform with her and I'm glad I saw it. Awesomenesssss!!.

That about wraps up the day of fun filled music and meeting people that I rock out to on a daily basis and some of my life goals have been completed.

What has happened this week in music,...
First Katy Perry! holla! 'One of the Boys' was sold out at grey whale on 4500 south cause I was lucky enough to buy the last one, at 10:30 in the morning on the same day it came out, did I not say she would blow up? Right now her album on iTunes is number 4, while 'i kissed a girl' is the number one song download on iTunes.



Next, Viva La Vida by Coldplay... what can I say, It is awesome, I've listened to the whole album about 5 times today and have no plans to stop. It flows so well, his voice is amazing and for once I don't feel gay listening to Coldplay. It is just muey bueno. Number 1 album on iTunes right now as well.



VALIENT THORR - IMMORTALIZER!!! if I only knew how to put lightning bolts in my text-- thats how I would describe Valient Thorr itself, let alone the new album.... How these dudes recorded this thing and wrote all the tracks? I dunno, from the year 2004 to now, they have toured about 250 days out of the american year. With producer Jack Endino (Hot Hot Heat, Nirvana...) you just have to listen know its quality work. Be a THORRIOR and get the album.



Lil' Wayne, sold over a million copies of 'Tha Carter III' in the first week, he sold more that kanYe. kanYe only sold 956,000 in the first week.. Mad props to Lil' Wayne... How he some how did it, i dunno, but I do have respect for him. I am glad that he doesn't think he is head-hauncho like 50 cent, and all gang bang, but I really don't know how good his album really is... if you know, drop a comment.

In a video put out by Taking Back Sunday called Louder Now: Partone, there was an interview with front man Adam Lazzara and he was asked about a certain band. The band was Metallica. He was asked on his thoughts about playing on the same tour and playing the same day, venue, etc.... His beautiful response: "Metallica-Schmetallica" meaning.. who cares about them. Seriously. SEER EE US LEE. Reason numbero uno, honestly who cares. numbero dos, they might be good but not what I like. Sure they are famous Rockstars and farther in life than me, but I still hate their music. numbero three-o, I hate the singers voice, numbero quatro, the whole band is ugly. I guess I really shouldn't hate on them, but I am.

As you read this you can agree with the fact that I really have a strong bias on Metallica. Fact. Now the reason I brought this up was because of the fact that in my music class today for the first half hour of class we watched a Metallica DVD and I about lost it. The professor thought he was the coolest mofo/old dude/professor/whatevs, etc.... he thought he was cool he knew about mosh pits, he thought he was cool he saw that concert he was showing us on DVD because he worked the event as security. Granted this DVD was better than watching Fiddler on the Roof, Romeo & Juliet, and all the other stupid things he has showed us, but still, I hated the fact that people thought this was the coolest thing.

And to top off the class, some kid was giving a concert report from the PacSun tour and he was bragging about it how he lost his voice and stuff and I couldn't help but to judge him for his stupidity. As my dad put it best, what goes around comes around. This being said I know how many people think I'm a pot-head, creep, snowboarder, or just typical stereotypes that come with the hair. Oh well. but I still choose to judge those who I hear talk and I think they're stupid, and the people who look stupid, when I know they are thinking the same about me. Whatevs, venting, done. This has probably been one of the most personal blogs I have posted. That is seer ee us. hmmm...

p.s./ "Where You Want To Be" has become my favorite album from TBS and for the last couple of weeks as well. "Notes From the Past" is great too, a perfect mix of "Tell All Your Friends" & "Where You Want To Be" with some extra bonus soundtrack stuff.

Warped Tour

Wow, Ummm... This summer I might have to go emo and support Warped Tour. But its probably worth it to see Cisco & Shwayze along with Katy Perry. But we'll see what the future has in store for us.



OMFG! So basically I could care less about all the emo kids not showing up to support Katy Perry or Shwayze. But seriously I am stoked about this. Are you kidding me? Shwayze, the only black kid from Malibu and of coarse Cisco and DJ Skeet Skeet will probably be there to. WOW, seriously some dope stuff. Gym Class Heroes will be cool and probably The Color Fred. Get excited people.
